Fat 2 Fit Radio Has Gone Live!

So the first Show was recorded live last night and is now starting to appear in sites like Itunes, Podcast Alley, Podcast Pickle etc. You can hear the first show right here or you can subscribe to the show here. If you subscribe to the free show, you’ll automatically receive new episodes as soon as they’re released, ready for syncing to your MP3 player or listening to on your computer. An iPod is NOT REQUIRED.
It is a show that would not have been possible only a few years ago for amateurs like us. We are actually recording the show from Calgary, Alberta and Long Beach, California. The distance between us is 2,550 km or 1,600 miles and we have actually never met in person. That is the miracle of the Internet, where people of similar interests can meet, discuss, and share common interests over cyberspace.
We are using a program called Skype which allows us to talk over the Internet to one another for free. The quality of Internet telephony has drastically improved over the last couple of years. The picture above is Russ’ setup in California. He uses the little mixer board to combine my audio over Skype with his audio through his microphone. His voice is still a little louder and of better quality than mine due to the Internet, but hopefully we will be able to improve this as we continue to fiddle.
The first show might appear to be a little rough around the edges, but then, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Regardless of the professionalism of the first attempt at recording, the information is still invaluable.
